I doubt if you can find any TLD's for free these days. How about try google searching for a Free .xyz domain from porkbun.io If you go through the google search, you can avail a free .xyz domain for one year.

I don't recommend use any free domain, this will make your project looking not serious enough.
.COM you can find 0.99 in some promotions of GoDaddy is a marketing trick but cheap than some of them...

I don't like GoDaddy but to start maybe a good change to catch cheap .com domains.
Like I said is not easy to find free .com, always have marketing trick behind it.

And also if you use free domain like .tk or other it doesn't show serious business or website. Users will leave.

The best thing is to spend a little money in .xyz which is cheap. I think .com and .net is much better...

True, best is any domain for 1 dollar than .tk or any free domains. For 1 dollar can you register .xyz or .ovh. When you pay it, nobody can stole or delete it (only if you terrorist, childporn or any law problems).
